This meant that thepeople from operative class backgrounds had a harder life because theydidnt have the same opportunities. During the 1980s a lot of peoplewere made redundant because mills and factories closed in(p) down, reducingthe number of jobs.First on stage is Mrs Johnston, the stage directions make her asthirty, precisely looks sixty. When the motherstarts apprisal you can tell that she is trying her best to make thekids happy but doesnt have the money to do so. For example soul with an A* has a better gamble thensomeone with a D of getting the job if they applied for the same job.If you go to a private school you have a better chance of fleetingbecause there are fewer students so the teacher can help you morebecause there is more time. In the end it depends on your class whichdetermines whether you can go to a private school or not. If yourefrom a rich family you can got to a private school and you go away have amuch better chance of passing your exams. nevertheless if youre from a poorfamily then you result have to go to a government school and you willhave less chance of passing. It also depends on your hard work and notthe school you do because if you are truanting and you go to ahigher achieving school then you will still fail.
